Frank Tannehill

Blues singer and pianist, who recorded two titles for ARC in Chicago in 1937, four titles for Bluebird in San Antonio, Texas, in 1938, and a further four titles for Bluebird in Dallas, Texas, in 1941. He also accompanied Pere Dickson in Dallas, Texas, in 1932, and probably Willie B. James on the same day as his 1937 session.

Little is known about Frank Tannehill. A pianist from Dallas, Texas, Frank Tannehill backed Pere Dickson on his two 1932 recordings made in his hometown. Tannehill began his own recording career with two songs recorded in Chicago in 1937. 1938 found him in a San Antonio studio waxing four more songs. His third and final session was in 1941 in Dallas for a four song session. He was never heard from again.
