b. USA, d. USA. An obscure blues guitarist who sometimes also worked as a record producer, Schaffer's origins are unknown. During the 30s, he occasionally worked in duo with guitarist Oscar Woods, as the Shreveport Home Wreckers, making a few recordings for Victor Records at the start of the decade. In May 1931, Schaffer recorded country singer-turned-politician Jimmie Davis who was accompanied by Ed "Snoozer" Quinn. The following year Davis made more recordings this time accompanied by the Shreveport Home Wreckers. In 1932 Schaffer and Woods released two sides for Victor under the name of Eddie And Oscar.
