Wily Bo Walker is a solo artist, session vocalist and performer. He is also the frontman with both Rattlin Bone and The Mescal Canyon Troubadours. A successful songwriter, composer, musician and vocalist noted for his characterful vocals and swaggering 'live' performances, Wily Bo works across many styles and genres; blues, soul, jazz, alternative and adult contemporary. Wily Bo Walker released a trilogy of albums in 2015, all of which achieved tremendous reviews across the board in the music industry. The first release was a mini-album by Wily Bo Walker & Kareña K entitled 'A Long Way from Heaven…' (Jan 2015). The second release in the tryptich, 'Stone Cold Beautiful' (May 2015), was recorded with long-time music collaborator, E D Brayshaw. The third album, 'Moon Over Indigo' (Sept 2015), saw Wily Bo working again with multiple Grammy Award winning musician and arranger, Danny Flam. 'Moon Over Indigo' was considered for a 2016 Grammy nomination. Likewise, their previous collaboration, 'Wily Bo Walker & The Danny Flam Big Band' (Nov 2013), received worldwide critical acclaim and was considered for a 2015 Grammy nomination. In 2016, as well as the compilation twin album releases 'The Wily Bo Walker Story Volumes I & II', Wily Bo Walker will be working on a new trilogy of albums based upon stories, tales and drunken fables taken from his one-man blues, swamp'n'stomp show 'Welcome to VoodooVille'.
No 1 for Christmas 2015 with 'Who Do You Love (NY Chiller Mix)' in the Netherlands' Hit-Tracks Top 100 charts. Runner-Up in the 2015 British Blues awards in the 'Blues Song' category for 'Long Way to Heaven'. Runner-Up in the 2015 Blues awards on Severn FM in the 'Best Studio Album of 2015' category for 'A Long Way from Heaven…'. 7th most played Blues Artist in 2015 across all of the UK Independent Blues Association Radio shows. 'Moon Over Indigo' and 'Stone Cold Beautiful' both achieved 'CD of the Week' status in the prestigious European based Hit-Tracks Top 100. Nominated for Best Male Vocals in the 2014 British Blues Awards. 'Chattahoochee Coochee Man', a Wily Bo Walker & The Mescal Canyon Troubadours track, featured on the Covermount CD: Issue 18 (Dec 2014) of 'The Blues' magazine. 'When The Angels Call Your Time', a Wily Bo Walker original, featured on the Covermount CD: Issue 14 (July 2014) of 'The Blues' magazine. No 1 Blues, Jazz & Classic Rock artist in the US and Worldwide MySpace charts (Jan 2013).
On December 7, 2016, Wily Bo Walker is officially inducted in the Blues Hall of Fame ®.
