More Killer Johnny Winter Tracks:
Sound quality is decent. Some killer tracks. I have quite a few CDs with Johnny doing Hideaway, and Mean Town Blues, but still these are fine renditions. I have tons of Johnny Winter and had never heard the 44 Blues. You Done Lost Your Good Thing Now is also on Woodstock and White Lightning, but this one is different, in some ways better. It's My Life Baby is great. Crazy rendition of Hendrix' Manic Depression. My favorites are 44 Blues and You Done Lost Your Good Thing Now. On both of these, which I suspect date to the late 60s, Johnny seems to be doing a Delta style slurred vocal (more so on on 44 Blues) that comes of really rough and gritty and adds a whole new dimension of emotion to the songs.
